Herald of the Titans Run

Druit, Jul 18, 12 6:19 PM.

Axiom is back!

Well, not really, but we're using her majestic Level 25 Guild Perks to facilitate a Herald of the Titans run.

Welcome to everyone who is joining this run and using the guild for leveling perks.  No one in the run is required to run in the guild and there is still some discussion as to whether or not Axiom will remain on Scarlet Crusade and that will be addressed in the next 24 hours.

In the meantime, check out the Herald 2: Electric Boogaloo forums and check back soon for more information.

Axiom: The End of an Era

Druit, Dec 23, 11 3:38 PM.

It is with mixed emotions that I announce that after 5+ years of being a raiding guild on Scarlet Crusade we've decided to call it quits and "retire" Axiom.   We've had a good run and went out on a high note, but interest in the game has started to fade for a lot of people.  As a result raiding for many of the team members started to feel like a chore and it was starting to show in terms of focus during raids and overall feel of the guild.    For the members of the guild who still wanted to be raiding seriously this fostered a pretty frustrating environment for them as well.   Due to a lack of interest in the game both currently and in the future we have decided not to recruit and rebuild again, but rather to retire the guild effective immediately.

We all put a lot of time and energy into our gaming, the guild and raiding.  That said we some times forget that World of Warcraft is a game and primary product of any game should be having fun.   There were many different reasons for it, but the end result is that the vast majority of our guild wasn't having fun any longer and that is a sign that it's time to move on.

I know that many of the members of Axiom still intend to play together in a Galaxy Far, Far Away at least for the interim and I look forward to  seeing where this change will take a lot of us.

As for the business side of things, we're still working out what is going to be happening with the guild as a whole and all of the contents in the guild bank.   If you anticipate that you will still be playing and would like things from the bank please send me a PM here on the forums and I'll see what I can do.    It is possible that we will "clean out" the roster at some point, but I wouldn't expect a mass removal of player to "freeze" the guild before the New Year at the earliest.

If you have any questions about anything regarding this please don't hesitate to contact me via PMs or hop onto Mumble and see if I'm around.

On a personal note, I'd like to thank everyone for all the hard work that you put in from the beginning of Firelands until now.  As a result of this game I've made memories, friendships and a community that I plan to take with me well beyond the World of Warcraft.   While many of us are sticking together and others are moving on I will always consider this dysfunctional group of weirdos my family in Azeroth.

Best of luck to everyone!

-Stephen

Feel free to use your "award" image as your signature file on the forums if you'd like.

I'd like to thank everyone for the turn around from the beginning of Firelands to where we are now.   In addition to those of you who are still on the raid team who got these "awards", I'd like to throw out a thank you to Motua and Haetu as well.

Thanks guys!   I couldn't ask for a better Azerothian family.  At least when it comes to making quippy awards. ;)

Also, please check out another new feature...
